What turns a store into a local favourite?

It might be a product you can’t find anywhere else, an unexpected bargain or simply the feeling of being welcomed like a regular. Sometimes, it’s the genuine service, thoughtful recommendations and familiar faces that make all the difference.

Our Share the Love competition invited the Oakleigh Central community to celebrate the local businesses they love and share what makes them stand out. We’ve been delighted by the response, with shoppers sharing heartfelt stories about the shops, cafés and services that have become part of their daily routines.

Although every story has its own special touch, a common theme has emerged: it’s the people, their passion and the connections they build with customers that make a shopping experience truly memorable.
